PLEASE NOTE:  I’ve had these Gerber knives since 1983 but have not used them for 20+ years.  They were stored away in a bin and only recently re-discovered.

GERBER PRESENTATION SERIES

INCLUDES:

“Flamborge” (Large Chef’s Knife) measuring approximately 15.50″ overall with a 10.00″ blade.

“Snickersnee” (Ham/Turkey Slicer) measuring approximately 15.50″ overall with a 10.00″ blade.

“French” (Chef’s Knife) measuring approximately 13.50″ overall with a 8.00″ blade.

“Durendal” (Fillet/Utility Knife) measuring approximately 11.75″ overall with a 6.50″ blade.

“Curtana” (Utility Knife) measuring approximately 9.875″ overall with a 4.50″ blade.

These fine knives have been discontinued for about 25 years now.  Current values on the individual knives range from moderate to outrageously high due to the scarcity of the knives.  I searched the Illiterinet and found only ONE “Flamborge” online worldwide, and it was priced at $98.00 in VERY used condition and marked “SOLD”!

Sellers commonly list these as stainless blades due to the brightness of the finish, but that is incorrect.  The blades are high-speed tool steel with a special industrial-grade hard chrome plating for corrosion resistance.  The blades are precision-ground to a razor-sharp, double-wedge profile and boast a super-hardness of Rockwell C60-62, which is pretty rare for household cutlery.  You’ll appreciate the difference when you use these!

The Presentation Series handles are cast and polished aluminum.  This keeps the weight reasonable while for the large knives and offers excellent balance for the smaller blades.

A set of these Gerber Presentation knives is displayed in the Museum of Modern Art Design in New York City.

CONDITION:  Previously-owned, but in great condition.  I am the original owner of this set, and they bear only light scratches from use.  The blade edges are practically untouched, and were only ever touched-up with a ceramic Crock Stick sharpener, so the blades are approximately 99.99%.  There are no boxes, but these will be individually wrapped and shipped to you with the usual care I take when shipping sharp objects.  My customers frequently comment on my “excessive” packing, in a good way!

This is a fixed blade skinning knife. This knife is in near mint condition. The blade has a satin finish. It has been slightly used but the blade and handle is still in excellent condition with only a few small light scratches from sharpening. Comes with a sheath in good condition.

This is  a  Beautiful Custom Handmade Damascus  Steel  Billet, which  is perfect for  making  a  great  knife.

The billet is Hand Forged from 15N20 & 1095 (192 Layers). The material of this billet contains high Carbon and Nickel contents to give high contrast and excellent edge sharp cutting abilities. Hardness of the blade is 58-60 HRC.

No mild steel  junk Damascus  comes  out  of our  workshop.  All our blades are free from defects & they will  not  delaminate

After each use, clean foreign substances from your knife blade & handle using fresh water, mild detergent and/or wipe down with rust preventative solution. (WD40, Gun Oil, other rust protecting lubricants are recommended). Always dry blade thoroughly before returning the knife to its sheath.

CRKT LIFT OFF OutBurst ASSISTED OPEN LINERLOCK WITH THE NEW FIRE-SAFE MECHANISM=when close the blade is saftey lock by the fire-safe pin, cannot be open untill the saftey button on the end of the thumb stud is firmly depressed and the thumb stud is nudge outward, just press and nudge for instance lift-off. By pressing the fire-safe pin will not open the blade you will have to perform both motions at the same time.
