Rare Damascus, Carbon Fiber, 24K GOLD Model #20 of 200

This Knife is a collector’s dream!

Up for auction is a rare Benchmade GOLD-CLASS 635-81 Mini-Skirmish Folding knife.  There were only 200 of these made in July of 2008 and they rarely come up for sale anymore.  This is a gorgeous knife with incredible fit, finish, detail and design.  It will stand up to any Chris Reeve, William Henry or custom knife you can find–check out the pictures; they speak for themselves.  I will also mention that out of all the (now discontinued) Skirmish models, this one is the most comfortable to hold in my opinion–the carbon fiber scales really feel nice in the hand and balance the knife out well.  The knife features an acid-etched Grosse Rosen Damasteel Stainless Damascus blade w/ crowned spine and modern reverse curve interpretation with hand-convexed edge.  The handle is anodized 6AL-4V titanium with bead-blasted exterior and jeweled interior and custom milled and sanded carbon fiber onlays.  The hardware, clip, barrell spacers and thumb stud are 24K gold.  In short this is a completely pimped-out knife–very pleasing to the eye.  It is of course, a frame-lock (or mono-lock).  The knife is an unused, uncarried knife and is in mint condition.  It comes in its original presentation/gift box with all original paperwork and “birth certificate” (all in excellent condition).  The blade is etched “#20″.  This is truly an impressive knife and I’ve got it started at a low opening with no reserve–don’t miss out!

This is a gently used, barely owned Benchmade 950 Rift.   I purchased this new in May 2010, and have only carried this knife maybe 3 of the months that I have owned it. I am downsizing a collection, and am willing to part with this knife. This version of the Rift has the satin finished 154CM blade. The blade has never been used, and is as razor sharp as the day I purchased it.  The pocket clip has very minimal wear (because it was not carried all that often). The only thing that I noticed, was a very slight scuffing on the blackened stainless steel liners (on the blade side, I attempted a picture-but not great quality). This is actually how the knife arrived to me, and I it is not very evident.  The blade is extremely smooth to open, and the lockup is the AXIS, which in my opinion, is one of the best locking mechanisms for folding knives-it is rock solid!
